CONCLUSION Astro(Venus) [HW:] Venus was setting just after the observation on an azimuth of 272 degrees.
BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS: Observer watched a conical shaped glowing bright orange light in the western sky. The top of the object at times appeared white in color. It was estimated to be the size of a city water tower. At times the bottom of the object appeared to be rotating red and green.
The description is consistent with that of an astronomical observation. Venus at the time of the sighting was about 5 degrees in elevation and on an azimuth of 271 degrees.
