5. LENGTH OF OBSERVATION Less than 1 Minute Assumed A/c of observer heading 300 deg azimuth in descent from 3,000 ft to 2,000 ft. Object observed through cockpit at 3 O'clock position slightly higher than the a/c (Appeared to be 5 miles distant). MX was very dense haze. Object appeared to move to the EAST (990 deg). Moved in a sincurve pattern and appeared as bright as sunlight, in the ascent and as a dim grey object partially hidden by haze in the descending portion.

8. CONCLUSION Appearance of object attributed to a mirage of the sun due to motion of the observers a/c and the atmospheric conditions present (Haze) run at 65 deg elevation/235 deg azimuth.
