11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Object in flight from West to East during day. Object would speed up and slow down. Irregular speed. Observed through 60X TX. Observed for about 45 seconds at which time it disappeared behind a jet stream. Looked like an F-104 with a black stripe down the center, silver color.
COMMENTS: Sighting characteristic of a/e observation, very likely an F-104 as the witness indicated, irregular speed attributed to illusion, duration of sighting missing from letter, no request for additional data since sufficient information presented to indicate that the sighting could be attributed to an aircraft.
