PROJECT 10073 RECORD CARD

1. DATE 30 Nov 60

2. LOCATION Bothell, Washington

3. DATE-TIME GROUP [HW: Loop] [HW: 1920] [HW: OUT]

4. TYPE OF OBSERVATION Ground-Visual

5. PHOTOS [ILLEGIBLE]

6. SOURCE Civilian

7. LENGTH OF OBSERVATION 20 min

8. NUMBER OF OBJECTS one

9. COURSE down then up then down again

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Brilliant white object, very large, seemed to drift downward, then darted up and seemed to bound in the sky and sparkled with a great light. Had "needles" shooting out from its entire circumference, "sharp end of a crystal appearance (apparently rays of some type)." Disappeared below horizon.

11. COMMENTS At the time of this sighting the star Capella was just rising in the NE. Capella is a relatively bright star, magnitude 0,2. Witness observed star thru lower half of a window while standing. Average height or lower half of window is 6' therefore assuming the witness to be an average height person from which the object was observed would be very small. (The witness did not hazard a guess at the elevation angle.) Weather at time of sighting was cold, crisp and dry with a few scattered clouds.
