10. CONCLUSION Probable (AIRCRAFT) Because of the proximity of several airfields in the area (including Grannis Municipal Airfield, Simmons Army Airfield, and Pope AFB) the local investigating officer believed the sighting could be attributed to a small aircraft or helicopter lights.
The observer sighted a bright white light. After several minutes it changed to a flickering red light and remained stationary for approximately 15 minutes then became a bright light for several seconds then a flickering red light again. Approximately 1 minute later it was joined by another red light. The two lights remained stationary for approximately 1 minute then the second red light moved off to the North and disappeared. Several seconds later the first flickering red light started moving East becoming a bright light again and then slowly changing to a flickering red light again.
