Observers watched an object that was compared to an IGM on its side with a tail of a comet and the nose on fire as of it rammering the earth's atmosphere. The object traveled across the sky at about an 20-25 degree elevation, toward the north. When the light went out it was like an aircraft had turned off its afterburner. The object was mainly green in color.
The description is consistent with that of a meteor or large fireball observation.
