On 19 Oct at 0300Z the moon was on an azimuth of 273 deg and a elevation of 10 degrees.
11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Observer noted a moon like object in the SW sky about the middle of the month. The object did not disappear from view while it was observed. Observer assumed object was the moon but was puzzled by the black band in the middle.
