BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS: Observer noted silver object with a red glow at rear pass overhead and took off toward the east. Observer heard a rearing sound and looked overhead and then saw the object. The object took off swiftly at an angle upward and disappeared. The sound heard was described as something between the noise of a plane and a jet plane. Observer compared the object to a huge wash tub.
Description is consistent with that of an aircraft sighting. A jet aircraft with a afterburner on could have provided a similar description.
