14 November 65 15/0650Z Atlantic Ocean (vicinity of Iceland) Civilian One Length of Observation 2 minutes Type of Observation Ground-Visual 7. OBSERVATIONS Straight
[HW: Astro METEOR] Assumed error in duration. Object was cigar-shaped with exhaust type flame coming from it. Light in front of object, revolving lights around exhaust. Long, fiery exhaust, approx five times the size of principal object. Exhaust was pale yellow flame sound source. Object had a straight flight course at point of disappearance 60 deg elav., 20 deg az. Disappearance seemed to be caused by distance. No immediate burn out. Observed by Pan Am flight in area. Object at extreme altitude ruling out jet a/c with after burner.
