11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Observer sighted a rather large, solid, see-in-ray sphere about 4 ft in diameter. It had dark markings on it and a small protrusion at the bottom. The sphere came with the wind, settled on the ground—about 75 yds away from the observer—smoothly, and then rose silently, slowly, and went off with the wind to disappear into the clouds. The observer believes it was probably a balloon.
