II. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Oval-cigar shaped object, silver-yellow color about size of a pencil at arm's length. Stationary in WSW at 50 deg elevation. Moved around in this area. Disappeared instantly by going straight up.
Possible REGULUS which is in the position reported. Disappeared and could be attributed to the haze and cloud cover indicated by the WZ in the area. There is insufficient data to justify this conclusion. The reporting official did not regard the sighting as valid.
