11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Possible missile or Satellite in flight to SW from the NE. Altitude estimated at 40-50 miles. High speed. Object appeared to be climbing. Brighter than stars, about as bright as moon. Disappeared over horizon to SW. Elliptical shape.
COMMENTS: Initial report via CIVILIS indicated that the object was climbing and that a Satellite or "missile was a likely cause." Completed FTD Form 164 indicates that the object was probably a meteor since the description of the object and duration conform with this analysis.
