11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Round object half size of an automobile dropping red sparks. Observed through window while watching TV. Flight was straight from 37 to 32. Attention attracted by a terrible light. Object observed at 200 ft above the ground and in level flight. Reported elevation 45 degrees. Initial impression that A/C on fire. Visibility 4 miles.

COMMENTS: UK indicated possible A/C with afterburner since sky was overcast and visibility 4 miles. However the initial brightness of the object attracting the attention of the witnesses rules this explanation out. Duration, description and burnout in accordance with meteor or satellite decay. No decays reported in TECDOC for [ILLEGIBLE]
