Missile launch schedule reveals NO launches this date. Follow up message indicated that there was no correlating data and CINCNORAD regarded the incident closed. No security threat, and case filed as insufficient data.

11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Large cylindrical object with a white flaming tail. Reported as climbing straight up. Radio fix indicated object was 080 deg from Vero Beach at 70 miles. Multiple reports from A/C in vicinity. Check with Cape Kennedy reported no knowledge of activity to correlate with report.
