10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF LIGHTING Sighting at dusk through Ex., Obj., appeared to be three stars together forming a triangle. Motion was rapid. REMARKS: appeared to be broadening up, like a row of stars that became more and more as bright as meter at first, white. Obj., who observed in flight in the ENE on the horizon and rising. Disappearance at 45 deg elevation.
11. COMMENTS Wind direction at alt., wrong for balloon type; unknown obj., expected to rise at Mt Wallon Island located at 12 deg az, from Nansemond, Virginia. Sighting more likely assoc with meteor from same location; view of initial appearance of meter and the rising. Also poss., mx balloon launch for atmospheric studies from this location.
