10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING:Objt size of baseball. Heavy contrail, apparently heavier at time, reportedly disappearing during maneuvers. Objt appeared in 250° approx, proceeding in NE track, turning to SE, proceeding on strong south track. An inbound sight, initially out of visual distance and was under visual observation until ti disappeared over horizon at outbound track. Turns were abrupt.

[STAMP: ATIC FORM 329 (REV 26 SEP '82)]

11. COMMENTS Witnesses sighted what they thought to be a contrail heavier than that normally left by a/c. There were two B-52's in area at time when with a flight path closely paralleling that of the reported objt. Witnesses probably one of these a/c and intermittently heavy contrail could have been caused by layers of air of slightly different temperatures. It is therefore concluded that objt reported was probably one of a/c in area.
