X. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING A/c crew flying on heading or 340°, altitude 26,000 at a point approx 60 miles E of Springfield, Mo., observed a green colored light surface very bright to light green color similar to ordinary green flare. At time of sighting pilot estimated it to be 1000' I'm a/c. Did not appear to be moving extremely fast. Descended from right to left Left no trail.

XI. COMMENTS source does not state how long object was viewed or azimuth and elevation when it was first and last observed However, due to its brightness obj was possibly a meteor which exploded.
