IX. COURSE E

X. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING [ILLEGIBLE] white, cylindrical object with reddish, cone-like tail. Objt seemed high. No sound heard. Sighted directly overhead at 090°, disappeared instantaneously high and E in a straight, non-easing path.

XI. COMMENTS [HW: Objt was moving E, a/c which was repd to be landing at about this time toward E. Objt was lst observed overhead; no sound heard. If objt was B-52, witness should have heard it.] Front of objt appeared to be bluish-white, which could have been landing lights (which were turned on) shining on haze and smoke present at time. Nevertheless, absence of sound and short duration tends to rule out possibility of objt being B-52 as this a/c can be heard when landing, especially if it passes overhead; C-124 was probably very fast approaching and would have caused the witness to this report to exclaim.

XII CONCLUSIONS [HW: Was Balloon] [HW: Probably Balloon] [HW: Probably Balloon] [STAMP:]
