10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Rytd by 3 ships in same general area. lst Rpt: illuminated body observed to [ILLEGIBLE] at approx altitude [ILLEGIBLE]. Started falling at [ILLEGIBLE] distance of [ILLEGIBLE], actual altitude [ILLEGIBLE]. Surrounded by cloud of smoke, 2nd report: irregular flying object, glowing and smoking. Ship position [ILLEGIBLE], [ILLEGIBLE]. 3rd report: strange brilliant object like a moon with big blue-white luminescence. Running speedy in sky [ILLEGIBLE] to [ILLEGIBLE], [HW:] over horizon.

11. COMMENTS Objt probably a missile fired fm Cape Canaveral. Firing schedule fm Cape indicates that an Atlas was fired a few minutes before this sighting. The American firing of the Atlas coincides with the directions reported by witnesses. It is concluded that object was probably the Atlas fired from Cape Canaveral.
