10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Like a circle or plate with the top cut off and approx 5 times the size of moon. Color reddish-orange. Appeared 12° N of due W. Disappeared same position. See: Slides 7-3745-458 (SLIDES IN PHYSICAL SPECIMEN FILE)

11. COMMENTS It is concluded by FTD that the object viewed by witnesses was the setting moon distorted by atmospheric refraction. Weather conditions probably contributed to misidentification in Conclusion substantiated by fact that moon was just N of W; and all sightings occurred at approx time of moonset.
