10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Normal s/o return painted on ground radar at 70,000 ft rapidly gaining altitude to 100,000 ft, went off scope after 45 sec.

11. COMMENTS There is the possibility that this sighting could have been caused by warm moist air mixing with cold dry air masses. Sightings and reports from the same radar station and were noted on the same equipment. No reports from other stations in the area were received which might have confirmed or denied the explanation that weather conditions probably caused this radar effect.
