BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: White glowing object aprox the size of a marble which broke into several pieces. Pieces trailed and dimmed. Object had flashing tail, tapering in size, somewhat longer than object. Straight flight with no maneuvers, disappeared low in the east.

COMMENTS: Description is characteristic of a meteor. No satellite reentries this date, although portions of 1960 Epsilon reentered during Sep and Oct on unidentified radar tracks; description and color indicate that two objects were a "bolide" class of meteor Correlates with Seattle sighting of same time and date.
