DATE: 27 June, 1960 LOCATION: Danvers, Massachusetts DATE-TIME GROUP: Local 1200 GMT: 27/1700Z PHOTOS: X Yes PHOTO SOURCE: Civilian LENGTH OF OBSERVATION: 40 Sec NUMBER OF OBJECTS: One BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: Observer was watching jet A/C fly into vicinity of sun. Rocket shaped object came out and disappeared into hazy cloud near the sun. Object had metal scalps and was described by observer as rocket A/XS. After observation it passed into house and told friends only that he had seen a UFO. No attempt to get confirming witness. CONCLUSIONS: Was Balloon [REDACTED] Was Aircraft [REDACTED] Was Astronomical [REDACTED] OTHER OPTICAL PHENOMENA: Insufficient Data for Evaluation Unknown
