ATIC FORM 329 (REV 26 SEP 52)

[HW: 5 Sep '59] [HW: Hurlb AB, Oklahoma] [HW: Local] [HW: Ground-Visual] [HW: Yes] [HW: Military] [ILLEGIBLE] ONCE 6 S to N

Rnd, flare-like obj w/tail similar to short contrail. Size of nickel at arm's length. White in color. Two rows of three abreast, then one row of four, then four & disappearing one at a time until only one remained. Initial observation 10° elev w/disappearance at 15° elev.

Witnesses probably saw a large meteor during the last stages. The illusion of climbing was probably due to the illusion created by perspective or relative brightness.
