DATE: September 1958 LOCATION: Derwood, Maryland Lead: [REDACTED] Date Group: [REDACTED] Photos: [REDACTED] Military: [REDACTED] Length of Observation: 2 secs, 1 hr Number of Objects: TWO Brief Description of Sightings: Sighting of UFO on about 29/09252. Noticed ground light which remained in sight for about 1 hour. See case file. CONCLUSIONS: Was Balloon Possibly Balloon Possibly Aircraft Possibly Astronomical
Investigation revealed that the meteorological sighting was part of the meteorological phenomenon and was viewed in a separate case and was viewed as far away as Indians & Penn. The additional object was determined to be a searchlight on a nearby barn.
