10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: One round brilliant white object with slightly flattened sides, size of pea at arm's length. Object seemed to twinkle or radiate like a star. Object appeared as a stationary light in the sky. Object moved very slowly in a horizontal, slightly downward path w/ no change in direction. Object was initially sighted at 40 deg azimuth, & disappeared behind trees in the foreground at 70 deg azimuth. Object was observed visually for 9 seconds.
11. COMMENTS: Ap: round fm Ho Air Proving Ground Command, Eglin AFB, 23 Aug 56 via AF Form 112. Concur with preparing officer that sighting caused by a/c light. Details of sighting correlate w/ activity of F-59 which carried stroboscope light. Light seen for only 6 seconds because obscured by trees. Slow movement explained by a/c flight away I'm observer. Evaluation a/c.
