10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING One (1), spherical, orange-red object, the size of a dime held at arms length, appeared as if the whole object was blazing. Various colors were observed but the predominant color was orange-red.

Object first observed it appeared to be stationary, but observed thru theodolite it appeared to be moving slightly.

Received by AF Form 112. The local intelligence officer was of the opinion that this sighting was generated by a comet. The description of this object appears to be that of a balloon, especially since it had been seen just before dawn.

MD Balloon #97W from the east over Nellis at the time of the sighting and the object was seen at 80° azimuth.

Resolved by this headquarters as WAS Balloon
