10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING One (1) white object, size of a head of pin held at arm's length, w/no other discernible features was observed by civilian pilot. Obj was seen to fly in a parallel course to the a/c flying approx east at 23,000 feet (Boeing Stratocruiser), but at a speed estimated as being five times that of jet a/c. Observer had seen many meteors, but did not believe that this sighting was astronomical.
No Report In File.
11. CONCLUSIONS Due to brevity of sighting, 5-7 seconds, & the probability of further investigation producing significant results, no follow-up investigation authorized. Although the observer did not recognize the obj as astro, the description of the sighting, & the fact that observer did not view obj for any period of time led to opinion that sighting probably astro (Mstoor).
