FORM 0-329 (TDE) DATE GROUP: 14/28/62 LOCATION: A. Kon, South Car Line

NUMBER OF OBJECTS: TWO LENGTH OF OBSERVATION: 10-15 minutes TYPE OF OBSERVATION: Ground-Visual COURSE: B PHOTOS: O Yes X No PHYSICAL EVIDENCE: O Yes X No

CONCLUSION: Possible: (HOT AIR BALLOON)

BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS: The observer sighted two objects that looked like oranges. The objects went SW, turned, went NE again, went South, and finally disappeared toward the East. The observer stated that objects were being chased by jets.

COMMENTS: No military aircraft were scrambled or were chasing anything in the area. The aircraft mentioned by the observer seem only to have been flying over the area and are not connected with UFO sighting. The surface wind was light and variable. The description and duration are consistent with that of a hot air balloon. The variable winds would also account for the flight path of the obects. Also, the observer said he has seen similar objects in the past month. This is not unusual since pranksters usually launch these balloons as often as possible.
