BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS: Observer noted a cigar shaped object about 10 feet in diameter and 150 feet long. The object was metallic silver color and appeared to have black square dots on each side that could have been arrows or block letters. The object appeared to have two fins on each side like a dirigible. The object was traveling very slowly from the south to the north.
A balloon was launched from Victoria, Texas at 09:15 on the date of the sighting, but it was reported to be down two hours before the sighting. Other weather stations in the area launch balloons daily which could have been observed by the witness. The observer stated that it looked like a balloon of some type.
