11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Observer reported seeing two lights which appeared to his left then crossed towards his right and reappeared again on his left. Continued in this manner several times, on a definite period. Each light had a tail which was anchored one in the west and one in the north in the directions of Auburn and Augusta respectively. Observer states that since the establishment of beacons at Auburn and Augusta he had seen the lights several times before he realized that they were actually ships from Yarmouth.
I got the idea that the observer was actually poking fun at other people who had seen these lights in the area rather than making a report.
