11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Circular light source, amber color. Initially no trail, later sparks appeared to come from the rear end of the object. Duration of sparks was 1-2 seconds, like afterburner. Object rapidly accelerated and what appeared to be shock waves deployed from it and trailed behind it. Trails were orange in color. No sound. Observed at 10 deg elevation and disappeared at 70 deg elevation. Out-of-light was in SW. Duration 4 minutes. Call to Vandenberg confirmed missile launch at time of report.
