11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS (2, F-87's running low level intercepts were airborne in area). 3 reports. Round object very large. Red, yellow, green, red with blue flames, bluish green and yellow. Pieces breaking off main object and disintegrating, very bright. Slow movement. Air-Vis., observation from a/c flying intercepts at 5,000 ft. Object above atmosphere. Observed by ground and anti object appeared to come straight down from ground observed to disappear into atmosphere. Gave indication of covering. Also observed by Minnesota highway patrol. Air observer in excellent position to observe object. Indict that object was entering atmosphere with pieces breaking off. Objects burned out prior to reaching ground. Multiple ground observers at Hibbing Minn.
