BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Obj appearing as a bright light on the Eastern horizon, Hazy, Fluctuated in brightness, Red & possibly green in color, Size of bright star & brighter than Echo, Sighting at tree line, Speed much faster than satellite, Obj stopped at times & changed colors, Approached observer.
11. COMMENTS Meridian time is 1944, Venus was setting at this time, OBJ observed to disappear below horizon, Venus had a mag of -3.7 & was at 12:42 40:09 on the ecliptic. Arcturus setting at 235gr az/25gr elev. Venus setting at 270gr az/235gr elev. Sight had characteristics of refraction of body in atmosphere. Arcturus setting at 235gr az/25gr elev. Venus setting at 270gr az/15dgr elev.
