10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Found object, reddish in color, size of a wash- tub. Broke up into 2 funnels of fire. Described as "brilliant fire" observed falling toward the ground from the NW, discovered below trees. Observation during the day; St John reported meteor at 02/15h02 in this area.

11. COMMENTS Although the duration for the sighting was reported as 1 min, the case is evaluated as a meteor. Since no mention of the object appearing at the same time as the sighting was made by the witness, it is felt that the time was overestimated and the witness observed the meteor reported by the St John weather bureau.
