BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: Round, Size of baseball, blue in color, Had tail 8-10' long red and yellow, Descended to W losing altitude very fast, Emitting blue glow.

COMMENTS: Description is characteristic of fireball; Duration is longer than usual for meteor; however, some meteors have been known to be in view longer than 15 sec. Two witnesses independently saw an object at about the same time reporting a duration of 6 min. However, considering probability of errors in their time pieces, they probably saw same objct. This report is categorized as probably fireball.
