BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: Round objt, size of pea changing white to red, then light yellow, disappeared in level position at 2 o'clock Disappeared on horizon at 2 o'clock Objt appeared stationary Spokane center call and confirmed a target was in contact moving rapidly to NW suggesting objt moving away giving no apparent az movement No break up or diminishing in intensity was noted prior to disappearance Sightings-62 estimated at 1050 Knots by Spokane Center.

COMMENTS Appearance or objt and its azimuth the observer suggests that it was probably planet Venus Target's location and altitude planet could have been just on horizon and atmospheric refraction could have been responsible for illusion of motion and caused color change It is believed that objt reported by radar was not real Refraction would be slimmer than by possible cause of both being due to atmospheric refraction The objt of this sighting was probably planet Venus.
