XIV. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Oblong, cigar-shaped objt, size of dime to pea, green changing to dull orange. Broke up before disappearance. Possible short trail causing shape. A/c reported objt not moving fast enough to be a star. Appeared 30' above horizon. Disappeared on horizon. Suddenly broke up, then disappeared in one sec.

XVIII. COMMENT Description and duration is characteristic to type of meteor called a bolide. Meteor was apparently in process of becoming a bolide when witnesses saw it.
