10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Size of full moon, glowing silver, shape of round plate whose edges were not sharp but hazy. Strength of light was the glass of strong northern light. Slowly light in middle of plate disappeared until it looked like ring or light which disappeared completely at 04:20. Altitude 20-30° above horizon.

11. COMMENTS The Venus probe launched by Russia was launched on the date of this sighting; the exact time of launch is unknown, however. It is quite possible that the object observed by the four pilots was, in fact, the rocket during its ascent.
