10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Object was 8 or 9 times larger than brightest star--much like Venus, perhaps larger. No perceptible motion or movement. It was bright white and red, tinge of gold, and an appearance of blue occasionally. Planet appeared at 270° in true N; 25° in horizon. Disappeared at 295-300° in true N; 25° in horizon.
11. COMMENTS Description and fact that object had no perceptible movement indicated that it was probably an astronomical body. The planet Venus, which is very bright at the time, was in the position reported for the object. Witnesses also saw a similar object the following evening, and it too was probably Venus.
CONCLUSIONS: Was Balloon [HW: Possibly Balloon] Was Aircraft [HW: Possibly Aircraft] Was Astronomical [HW: Venus]
