CONCLUSIONS: Was Balloon Probably Balloon Possibly Balloon Was Aircraft Probably Aircraft Possibly Aircraft Was Astronomical Probably Astronomical Possibly Astronomical
COMMENTS: Very little information regarding the object; therefore, a valid conclusion cannot be reached. Duration of sighting was 1 1/2 minutes. Location of initial observation on the horizon and also object disappeared at 0' elevation. Object of the sighting has characteristics of a non-astronomical body, however no stars of the first magnitude or any of the planets were in the location given by the witness.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING:
[HW:] Round white object with reddish tinge, sharply outlined, much smaller than the moon. Dog barked at object. Object on horizon in North when first observed and disappeared at same location. Observer estimated distance of object as 50 miles. Object flashed and flickered and disappeared and reappeared; however no mention how this occurred too indicated.
