10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Red hot object, which appeared to be three ft in diameter was seen to fall straight down into the waters of Pensacola Bay. Shortly after the object fell, an explosion-like sound was heard.

11. COMMENTS An attempt was made to recover the object but with no success. Due to about 3 ft of mud in the bottom of the bay and a shortage of funds, the recovery attempt was abandoned. Object was probably a meteorite.
