X. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Dark, barrel-shaped object, six to eight feet long, black at one end, trail of flame six feet long, no sound, appeared to fall straight down to east.

XI. COMMENTS Since there was but one witness, this sighting classed as "insufficient data." It is quite possible that it was a balloon or other instrument for air research falling. Description and duration of fall corresponds to a collapsed balloon.
