BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Round object with appearance of a star like silver or reflected light, reddish in color at the head and fading to pale yellow toward the end observed to move away from observer at a considerable distance Object appeared to be descending Object had tail that covered a 5-7 degrees arc Inversion layer.

11. COMMENTS The description and duration fit that of a jet A/C with afterburner in operation at a considerable distance from the observer A fighter group was observed during this sighting on ground It is possible that the witness observed an A/C through the inversion layer with the illusion distorted due to refraction.
