Perfect sphere w a glow & the circle itself was white, falling straight down believed to be Sputnik 1, but instigated thru congressional inquiry.

Upon investigation source adjudged unreliable & inconsistent, However the observation possesses the characteristics of a meteor sighting, & the object is evaluated as a meteoror Sputnik 1 did not begin decay until 3 Jan.
