10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Object shaped like a projectile, flying at a speed less than that of an airplane, orange to red in color, appeared 12 ft in length and 2 ft wide at its widest end, appeared to be pointing at the opposite end. Seemed to be at a higher altitude than an a/c could be.

11. COMMENTS U.S. aero charts show Abingdon is almost directly under major airway traffic lane. Often consider able traffic; this airway runs north There was no reason to believe object was other than high flying a/c The shape and color caused by specular reflection due to the setting Sun.
