Visual object resembles a/c observation of balloon with package. Additional investigative data not received. Case regarded as insufficient data due to lack of additional report.

11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Pilot flying 28,000 ft at night suddenly came upon an object having 6 lights, taking evasive action he approached object from the side. When his aircraft drew near lights went out and object vanished. This took place over an atom-bomber training base. Object was confirmed by ground radar. Attempt is being made by Air Ministry to resolve sighting.
