Object picked up on radar and became a skinpaint. Object observed continuously until a/c made a right turn. Obj suddenly made a turn to NW at high rates of speed resulting in loss of contact at 38 miles. Object was resigned at 22 miles at a distance of 8 miles and flew parallel with the a/c. Contact lost at a distance of 15 miles. No visual contact made.
11. COMMENTS Possible explanation is anomalous propagation.
