DATE: 7 May 1957 LOCATION: Macon, Georgia DATE-TIME GROUP: Local: CUT: 07/2045Z PHOTOS: X/Y: Yes still & motion picture SOURCE: Civilians LENGTH OF OBSERVATION: 1-2 hours (intermittently) NUMBER OF OBJECTS: three COURSE: SW
BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: Observers (10) observed three white objects SW of Macon on two (2) successive nights. Observed from 1 to 3 hrs, with no flight pattern or unusual numbers reported. One observer (John Deep) obtained both still photos and motion pictures (mm size) of the objects.
See Also: Specimen File Microphotographs [ILLEGIBLE] ONCE ft. Landing (30 mi SW of Macon) also disclosed a/c were in air on two successive nights dropping parachute flares as part night maneuvers.
COMMENTS: Laboratory analysis of the photo coverage (microphotographs & large screen size projections) indicate some faint white dots in sky among other small things (what appears to be fireflies, leaves, smoke etc). A density analysis of the motion picture film discloses a/c in what appears to be a small speck to naked eye. Quirky [HW:] on one occasion.
