CONCLUSIONS: Was Balloon Probably Balloon Possibly Balloon Was Aircraft Probably Aircraft Possibly Aircraft Was Astronomical Possibly Astronomical

BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: One circular type object the size of a medicine ball held at arms length, color of black. Object was sighted with binoculars for a period of three minutes, heading in a general course of NE at an altitude of approximately 1,000 to 1,500 feet.

COMMENTS: Note that the object had to be below the altitude of 4,000 feet, the height of the overcast. Black pibald balloons are released on cloudy days. It is the opinion of this ho that this sighting was caused by a weather balloon released at Terre Haute, Indiana. Note that the winds below 5,000 feet were from the SW and that the object was moving NE.
